A first note on the new site — why I rebuilt it with Astro and where I'm taking it.
Welcome to the new site. I rebuilt it from the ground up with Astro, keeping the neumorphic look I’d been sketching and finally giving myself somewhere to write.
Why Astro
I wanted something that ships as static HTML by default, stays fast, and gets out of the way when I just want to publish a page. Astro’s content collections make a blog feel like editing files — which is exactly what I wanted.
What’s next
A few things I want to write about:
- Building products end to end at IFF Productions
- Notes from photography and music — the non-code disciplines
- The occasional deep-dive on something I had to figure out the hard way
